A little bit about me...
Hi there!
I'm Ashlee and a warm welcome to my website.
I have been designing, creating and sewing crafted treasures and clothes for over 35 years. I first discovered the art of bear making in 1995 when I completed a bear making course. I was smitten; it's not at all surprising as my bears seem to come alive before your very eyes.
My daughter-in-law asked me to design and create a memory bear for each of my granddaughters, from their special baby-grows. Mr Blue burst into life - my very first memory bear. He helped me work out the best ways to carefully and lovingly transform the precious baby-grows into something very special. If you look carefully, you'll see him dotted about my site. With the best approach mastered, "Faye" and "Beth", my granddaughters’ bears soon joined Mr Blue and since completing this lovely trio, many more gorgeous, special memory bears have followed.
I am very honoured to say that my friends have taken a special interest in my keepsakes and it is thanks to them that I have now launched my on-line store: "Keep Me Close Creations" so I can create something special for you!
My creations are unique and individual. I am happy to discuss any special designs you may want, so please feel free to contact me and we can go through your requirements together. I'm also happy to be commissioned to design and create a special one-off creation for you.
My magical studio is in Thatcham, Berkshire and all my products are created in my smoke and pet free environment.

You'll note that not everything on here is about memory keepsakes. I've recently started making weighted lap pads and throws after being asked by a friend to make one for her grandson. I've done some research into these weighted pads and throws and have decided to add them to my product range. I can't repeat all the details of the research and anecdotal evidence of the benefits of these items here; I'll leave it to you to make your own decision. So if you feel that you would like one of these for yourself or you know someone who would like one, please take a look at the options in my shop and I'll be more than happy to help.
